Any incentive event would be complete without theme
events, activities or tours. With its unmatched
historic and religious places to visit and beaches Ephesus, Kusadasi and Izmir
regions have much to offer for unforgettable events.
An Evening in Ephesus
A unique event, which starts with cocktails and a concert at the
Ancient Odeon of Ephesus, then continues with a guided tour of the
site and ends with a fine dinner at the impressive Library of Celsus.
After arrival to the Upper Gate of Ephesus proceed to the Ancient
Odeon. At the entrance of the Odeon guests will have cocktails and
hors d'oeuvres. Then proceed to the Odeon, which will be exclusively
reserved for guests. A classical quartet of the Philharmonic
Orchestra of Izmir will perform a 15 minutes concert of classical
music.
After the concert guests will take a tour of the site. Ephesus
represents the most extensive excavations in the world. It is
situated a half hour's drive through the country side of Asia Minor
from Kusadasi. The tour to Ephesus, which is made almost exclusively
of marble, is a walking tour through the city. Restoration of much
of the ancient series of eight cities affords a visitor a feeling of
the splendor of Ephesus. Hadrian's Library and the Agora are among
the many highlights. the site offers endless photographic
possibilities.
Tour ends at the Library of Celcus. an upscale dinner will be
held in the Library. A classic quintet with harpist from the Philharmonic
Orchestra of Izmir will perform during dinner.
A "1001 Nights" Theme Party
This party can be held in a hotel ballroom. It is a recreation of an authentic Turkish night,
the way it was performed in the Sultans' palaces. The function room
is decorated in a typical Turkish atmosphere. A small street market
is created with little stands like:
- Ottoman bijouterie (imitations silver bijouterie)
- Calligraphy (you may have your name written)
- Ottoman calligraphy (Hattat)
- Spice (different herbs)
- Porcelain (an artist is painting porcelain trays)
- Traditional Turkish Dolls
- Fes & Yemeni (Turkish Folklore)
Guests can buy these items from the stands.
In addition to the above, other street vendors (cucumber man,
shoe shine man, pickled man, chickpeas man, Turkish sweet man,
cookies man, house wine man) offer their goods walking around in
their traditional dresses in their traditional selling trays.
The whole function takes place during cocktails while a
traditional Turkish band entertains the guests.
After cocktails the guests are invited to the dining room. Then
the Sultan and his viziers enter the room and sit in the Sultan's
tent. The Sultan gives the order to start the entertainment and a
non-stop entertainment starts. A folk dance group performs dances of
different regions, including a special dance with candles. A
Janissary band in authentic costumes, harem girls and a belly dancer
entertain guests.
At the end the favorite belly dancer of the Sultan performs her
dance and the Janissary's band enters once more the place, then the
sultan salutes and they all leave the room. At this moment the
orchestra starts to play international dancing music.
